“I’m going to spank you. Ten times. One for each minute you were in the pool naked.”

Yep, that is what you get when you read Just Like That.

I am lucky to call K.S. Ellis a critique partner and even luckier to read her books before they hit the presses. A prolific author, Ellis connects all her main characters in a sexy, modern universe where all her romance novels take place. Having gone to college at the University of Washington, her Seattle Sizzles series is near and dear to my heart. Just Like That is the second to be published and her first with a little extra kink.

Pete and Mel meet at an alumni event. Pete is a Rampwood, one of the richest families in the greater Seattle area. Mel is a hostess, there to fluff up the egos of the men that usually attend these events. Neither of them expects to leave with someone, but when Mel gets Pete out of a ticket, the least he can do is give her a ride home. He will soon discover what kind of wild ride to expect when Mel is around. From breaking and entering to skinny dipping, Mel lives life in a carefree fashion that continually shocks Pete into wanting to both punish and make love to her.

Charming and surprising, I enjoyed this read. A romance novel that doesn’t lose any plot to its spice level. If you like Maya Banks and Sylvia Day, you will want to read K.S. Ellis!
