In November of last year, a writing group I belonged to challenged each other to write a story using the setting of one of our fellow member’s work in progress. I was assigned Cameron Wright’s. It took place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland with domed societies. What started as a thousand-word creative writing assignment turned into a five-thousand-word story. I tried sending it to a few anthologies and magazines for publication and received a handful of rejections. I assumed that maybe the story was too dark. From there, it gathered dust while I wrote new stories and edited my novel.

In April of this year, I reached out on Twitter to fellow artists requesting a collaboration. I hoped creating something with mixed media would gather a larger audience. Michael Raven responded, we discussed what kind of work we did. He composed music, and I wrote stories. I sent him a few pieces, including The Point. He responded with interest, and we both began recording. Michael invited O’Wisp, a fantasy artist who does beautiful digital paintings, to join our group. She provided all of the unique pieces inspired by The Point. From there, things fell into place. Using my TikTok movie-making skills, I created this five-episode storytelling experience. I hope it is enjoyable to watch as it was to work with this team.
