Blood Promotion by M J Klipfel checked all the romance boxes. Tessa Sanders is a redhead with a pension for finding the truth. A quick, clandestine photo session leads to this reporter plunging into a paranormal world. With this sweet and spicy love triangle, Tessa gets a vampire and a werewolf.

The Vampire finds her first. Derek, a cold-blooded hunter with a Scottish accent, would kill Tessa if he could, but lucky for her, they exchanged blood during a scuffle in the park where she’d scored the pictures she needed for an article. Now they are blood bonded and if she dies, he does too. The bond causes an intense attraction between the two with that lovely enemies-to-lovers vibe. From there, Derek reveals what she really is: Wolf Born. Kidnapping her, for her own safety, of course.

This is where Sam comes in. He is hot, and not just because he is solid muscle and the head of security at the bar where Tessa works on the side. He is also a werewolf who cares for Tessa in a “she’s mine” kinda way. This gentle giant is my favorite character. Even when he is bleeding out, Sam keeps an eye out Tessa. The vampires locked him away with her, a lone wolf who can show her the ropes. The sexual tension turns their predicament from scary to heated.

The part that stands out the most: the spicy scene. Let’s just say I loved the teamwork! Klipfel keeps things classy while giving the reader what they want. I am excited for book two to find out where this love triangle leads.
